The All-Wales Manual Handling Passport Scheme, supported by NHS Wales, Welsh Government, and the HSE, establishes the national minimum standard for manual handling training in Wales.
This standardised approach supports the movement of staff across multiple organisations (following the scheme), with no variation in practical manual handling skills, ensuring a strong focus on safe, person centred and effective care.
To make learning more flexible, we deliver the course in two parts. Module A and the first half of Module B are completed online, giving staff the theory and knowledge in advance. The second half of Module B through to Module F is completed in the classroom, where learners put their knowledge into practice with expert guidance.
