XPSILVER 2 months ago It was a phenomenal class. Nathan, the instructor, was outstanding, perfectly blending fun with knowledge. The session was impactful, with no dull moments at all. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I’m really glad I was there. As for the venue, I believe they can do better with both signage and direction. Some people were at the hotel lobby way before the time of the class because the hotel receptionist told them to wait there, and that someone will come get them. 15 minutes into the class no one came and receptionist wasn't even helpful. Who is this course for?

This 2-day course, delivered by a certified MHFA England instructor, will qualify you as a Mental Health First Aider. You will come away from this course with: -

• An in-depth understanding of Mental Health + the factors that can affect wellbeing
• Practical skills to spot the triggers + signs of Mental Health issues
• Confidence to step in + support a person in distress, using the MHFA action plan
• Knowledge to help someone recover their health, by guiding them to support
• An understanding of how to keep themselves safe while performing their duties

Course Content

Learning takes place across four manageable sessions, through a mix of interactive group activities, presentations and discussions.

• Session 1 Mental Health First Aid, mental health + depression
• Session 2 Depression (cont.) + suicidal crisis
• Session 3 Anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders + self harm
• Session 4 Psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
